Internal quality Assurance Cell

To enhance the quality improvements in the academic process and also as a pre-accreditation exercise Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was formed in the college in April 2011. The objective of the cell is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution at all levels with the involvement of all stakeholders.

The college has been accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade having 3.25 CGPA in the year 2011.


In pursuance of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) constituted in the college as a quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of the institution’s system and work towards realisation of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions. For this, during the post-accreditation period, institutions need to channelize its efforts and measures towards promoting the holistic academic excellence including the peer committee recommendations.

The work of the IQAC is the first step towards internalization and institutionalization of quality enhancement initiatives. Its success depends upon the sense of belongingness and participation in all the constituents of the institution. It will not be yet another hierarchical structure or a record-keeping exercise in the institution. It will be a facilitative and participative voluntary system/unit/organ of the institution. It has the potential to become a vehicle for ushering in quality enhancement by working out planned interventionist strategies by IQAC to remove deficiencies and enhance quality like the “Quality Circles” in industries.


  1. Development and application of quality benchmarks for various academic and administrative activities in the institution.
  2. To build and ensure a quality culture with conscious, reliable and transparent efforts through a combination of self and external quality evaluation promotion and sustenance initiatives.
  3. Arrangements of feedback of Students/Parents/Stakeholders/Alumni about quality related institutional parameters.
  4. Documentation of various Programme of college leading to quality improvement.


  1. To channelize and systematize the efforts and measures towards academic excellence and to develop ethics in the students.
  2. To encourage departments to established students learning center environment to use ICT tools for teaching and learning process and to inculcate value-based education system.
  3. To develop an institutional data base & documentation of various activities leading to quality improvement.
  4. To promote teachers to upgrade their qualification encourage them to attend faculty development programmes&other curriculum enrichment programmes.
  5. To develop on ambience on the campus so that it enables the students to have free interaction with the academic & their classmates in the matter of academic affairs.
